With the costs of energy sources increasing every day, it’s imperative that our communities adapt.  Using recycled resources an renewable energy sources will only lower homeowners’ costs as well as lower the impact on the community and environment.  Anders Lewendal construction takes pride in being a trailblazer when it comes to sustainable building practices in Bozeman.  We strive to be a shining example in the state of Montana when it comes to energy efficiency.
Our Energy Star homes are as  much as 30% more efficient than regular homes built to code.  These Energy Star homes offer enhanced comfort, healthier indoor air, and savings over the life of the home.

Our sustainable homes offer an optional rain collection system to take advantage of Montana’s spring weather and clean water.  With a photovoltaic system installed on the roof of your sustainable home, you can offset the costs of energy with the clean power of the sun.  These new systems not only offer lower energy bills over the life of your home, but also create no pollutants and can qualify you for a government tax credit. This solar energy can be used to run lights and heat water, through a solar water heating system, lowering utility bills during any season regardless of climate.  And the Heat Recovery Ventilation lowers heating bills by minimizing heat loss, all the while providing great indoor air quality and reducing allergins. To promote recycling, there are optional cabinets designed for recycling containers, and we can easily build a composter in the spacious backyard to take advantage of food scraps. When it comes to interior design, Anders Lewendal Construction pursues both beauty and resiliency.  We know how Montanans live, and a Montana home should mimic its owner – strong, adventurous, and beautiful.  Our exterior finishes are inviting and easily maintained.  Interiors are clean, modern, and designed with sustainable and sometimes recycled materials.  Our durable, easy to clean interior finishes are perfect for the Montana hiker, snowmobiler, skier, or fisherman, including our recycled paperstone countertops.  Polished concrete and wood paneled floors make for easy mud cleanup and are water resistent, and there’s plenty of storage space for skis, snowboards, bikes, hunting gear, and the like.
